To determine the actual finished fire pit size:

  1. For Width Add: 1/2″ per side for cement board, 2″ per side for stone veneer, 2″ per side for top material overhang. (ie: 27″+1″+4″+4″=36″)
  2. For Height Add: 1/2″ for cement board, ?” for the thickness of top material. (ie: 16″ frame height + 1/2″cement board + 2″ stone top = 18 1/2″)

These dimensions are approximate and will vary dependent on the actual material thicknesses you use.

The kit’s frame is 52″ × 22″ and designed to support a 36″ linear burner. To determine your final dimensions: allow for approximately ½″ per side for cement board, plus around 2″ per side for stone veneer, and around 2″ per side for top overhang. For height, add about ½″ for backer board plus your top-material thickness.

What fuel and ignition type does this kit use?

This version uses a match-lit system (manual 1/4-turn valve) and supports either natural gas or liquid propane, depending on the variant you order. The listing states “Gas Type: Select Gas Type – Natural Gas or Liquid Propane” at time of purchase.

What is the lead time and shipping details?

Because this is a custom-sized kit, it ships in approximately 4 weeks. Shipping is free for most orders over $129 within the contiguous U.S. Additional shipping fees may apply to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada.

What finish materials can I use and what should I consider?

You may finish the kit with stone veneer, tile, stucco, or other materials of your choosing. Be sure to account for material thickness when estimating final dimensions (see answer to Q1). Also verify local codes and proper ventilation, and ensure your fuel line and clearance meet the burner manufacturer’s recommendations.
