Naturally occurring, these lava rocks are formed as volcanic magma rises to the surface, cools, and releases gases which gives these rocks their coarse surface.
Because they are volcanic, they can withstand extremely high temperatures without sustaining any damage or crumbling.
Lava rocks may be used exclusively in a fireplace or fire pit or may be used as a base or filler for other ornaments such as outdoor log sets, lite stones, or rolled lava stones.
Whichever way they are used, the resulting effect is truly fascinating. The best part is that they require very little maintenance!
Traditional Lava Rock is proven to increase combustion efficiency while maintaining a classy look for any fire pit.
The size of each piece of rock varies from 1/2” to 1 1/2”. Sold in full 1 cubic foot bags. An excellent base for one of our specially designed log sets.
