Gas Line Sizing For Gas Fire Pits
One of the biggest concerns when installing a gas fire pit is gas line size or how many BTU’s are needed for fire pit burners. Typically the bigger the burner the more BTU’s you need to your fire pit.
When running a gas line, the longer the run the less BTU’s you will have. Take a look at this chart for a rough idea of what size pipe you will need to run to match the BTU’s needed for your burner. Remember when adding fittings and elbows your BTU’s will be reduced even more. As a general rule you will need to reduce 5′ for every fitting used.
