Below is a picture of the basic parts needed for a "DIY" do it yourself match lit gas fire pit. The burner pan is optional but helps support the fire ring and fill material over the ring.
For Liquid Propane, LP, you would add a LP orifice at the bottom of the burner pan and will need to provide air vents in the base of the fire pit.
