Start with one of our custom Octagonal Fire Pit Frames built to your specifications.
We use 2" square steel tubing and powder coat the entire frame to prevent rust & corrosion.
We then cut a circular hole in the middle of the steel burner plate a little larger than the burner pan dimension. Just drop the burner pan or complete fire pit kit into the frame. The burner plate is welded 1" below the top of the frame to give you 2 1/2" below the frame top to the burner ring.

 To the right is an example of a 27" diameter frame with a 19" burner pan and an 18" fire ring.
This will make about a 34" diameter fire pit after adding the cement board, lathe, stone sides and a stone top with a 2-3" overhang.

 After receiving your frame you can now start to finish your masterpiece.
The first step is to cover the frame with cement board to get ready to apply your outside finish material.
Attach the cement board with a 1/8" drill bit and cement board screws.

 Next attach metal lathe or mesh to the cement board if you are planning on finishing the sides and top of your fire pit in stone or stucco.

 Next Mortar your stone to the sides of the fire pit. Notice, we have drilled a 3/4" hole in the side to install a manual 1/4 turn key valve for a match lit fire pit.

After you have finished the sides of your fire pit and have installed the top of your choice you are now ready to install all of your components. Run your gas line into the manual 1/4 turn valve, either hard piped or with a flex line. Then from the valve run a flex line to your burner pan or ring, or if you have used a electronic ignition complete fire pit kit just run your gas line directly to the complete fire pit kit.
